Katrina Morse had a group of her paintings on display at a vineyard gallery during the month of August, 2014, titled "Pattern and Light". On the 8th of that month, she held an opening and invited me to improvise at it. I chose to improvise based on a specific painting and found plenty of inspiration in each case. Selected improvisations are included here with a photo of the painting that inspired them.
